Hats & Fit
How do I find my size?
Measure around your head where the hat will sit, about a finger-width above your eyebrows and ears. Then match it to our size chart in the Hat Fitting Guide.
What if I'm between sizes?
Size up. Our adjustable sweatband lets you bring the fit in. A hat that's slightly big can be tightened; one that's too small can only stretch so far.
What are your hats made of?
Our hats are made from premium Bolivian wool. [Add exact composition.] Product pages list the material for every hat.
What is the Rider?
The Rider is Tailor's signature shape. [One-line description of crown and brim.]
What is the Wanderlust?
The Wanderlust is our EZ-Fit hat with a teardrop crown. [One line on what EZ-Fit means and who it's for.]
What is an open crown?
An open crown hat has an unshaped, rounded crown. It's a blank canvas for a hat maker to shape to your style.
Orders
What's the difference between Ready to Ship and Made to Order?
Ready-to-ship hats are finished and in stock. They leave our shop in 1–2 business days. Made-to-order hats are produced and finished for you from available options and take 3–4 weeks.
Can I change my order?

Can I order a fully custom hat?
Our made-to-order and Monthly Drop hats let you choose from available colors, shapes and options. [Clarify if/when fully bespoke work is offered.]
Shipping
How long does shipping take?

What is your return policy?

Can I exchange for a different size?

Hat Shaping & Service
What shapes are available?
We make three hats: the Rider, our signature shape; the Wanderlust, an EZ-Fit hat with a teardrop crown; and the Open Crown, which comes unshaped so it can be shaped your way.
Can you reshape a hat I already own?

Where can I get a hat steamed or serviced?

Monthly Drops
How does the Monthly Drop work?
Each month we run one color into production. You pick the size, crown, brim and band, and our hat makers finish it for you.
How long does a drop hat take?
Drop hats ship [X–X weeks] after the ordering window closes.
Will a drop color come back?
